Hi all
So a guide foot has slipped out of its thread wraps, clouser struck. As far as I can tell the thread wraps are still good, just a little chip of the epoxy at the edge there.
How should I repair this? Thinking of bending out the foot and slide it back in position but what adhesive...
I was in Mexico recently fishing for tarpon and permit. While it was a success with tarpon and other species, we had a hard time finding permit out in the flats. Guides took me to three different flats but no permit to be found.
He said maybe I should crack open a Modelo to change our luck...
6am pick up at hotel lobby and I'm on my way to the marina to fish with the Fin Chasers operation . Going outside of the hotel zona you get to see the real Mexico. If it weren't for the signs in Spanish I could have sworn I was back in Vietnam with all the palms and royal poinciana trees lining...
I fished a popular lake in north western washington this morning with @jasmillo
Launched at first light, rowed around the north cove and he quickly hooked 2 from casting from the bow but lost both.
Fishing picked up steadily as we crossed to the other bank, then the shoal. Many medium fish...
Went out this morning with @jasmillo, hit a lake first, that sucked so we headed to the salt.
Caught one tiny rezzie, first fish of 23. You can catch solid fish at both places like jasmillo but that's not how I roll! I mean that's fine for some people but I like to get my lake skunking and...
My wife and I went for a hike this morning without the kids to Talapus lake. It wasn't too hot with all the smoke blotting out the sun.
Brought along a 5wt, threw soft hackle at the lake and caught some pretty nice dinks. Due to afternoon apt we didn't have time to make it to the upper Olallie...
What are some of your favorite fruity summer treats?
We sometimes make avocado, condensed milk and crushed ice. Diced up avocado mixed with condensed milk to taste, mash a little, add crushed ice, done! Some people like to blend it up but I prefered some texture to it.
Family and I took a road trip to Banff, Lake Louise, and Jasper with Kamloops being the mid-way overnight stop. Had a nephew tagged along with my son and daughter so needless to say my 4runner was packed to the rim plus the dog frequently changing his mind on where to sit/lay :)
The Canadian...
Lousy tide plus high flow at my local river was enough reasons for me to trek way north to fish a lake this morning.
It was pouring hard for most of the time and finally ceased as I left, a little bit of sun even.
Lots of medium rainbow around, my last fish was a good one that ambushed my white...
Light gray muddler dunked in the water at first light. About 4th or 5th cast and a nice fish is on. Landed about 3, missed a couple more. Fishing was pretty good before the sun came out then it slowed way down.
Then came my biggest lake rainbow ever, heaviest at least and this is all I got to...
Looks like Sage is releasing new fly rods very soon, wonder what it will be?
Fly rods are so good nowadays I don't know how much of an improvement you can make, there's so much out there to suit everyone.
BTW Sage X is 20% off.
I currently don't fish with any Sage rods but their marketing...
Fished this morning with @jasmillo and @OlyFarq at a lake, let's call it... Dunkin' lake. There were already a bunch of risers and jumpers when we got there at first light (except for Olyfarq). Jasmillo got the first fish to start, pretty decent fishing followed and there were some nice fish...
