This.
Pictures/videos mostly do it for me for the general "here's what the river looks like" in flood situations. But for some reason a fully cranking waterfall is deeply fascinating to see/hear in person.
There’s all sorts of road closures and traffic in the area. From what I've seen on social media, Snoqualmie Falls is really cookin'. I'd love to see it in person, but it's too far a drive. If I still lived in Issaquah, I'd check it out for sure.
It has been before. That hill may be an island temporarily.
We usually have video uploads turned off because it is a common porn/spammer sort of thing to take advantage of on a site like ours. And so many folks upload to YT or social media and then just embed that post here that it hasn't been a commonly requested feature. Here's a pic from my deck, video wont load.
Would be funny (not really) if Galena Road washed out again after all the work put in.
There’s washouts and there’s Washouts.Welp sounds like it washed out. They'll have it fixed again by 2045.
It was 72 yesterday, and 62 when i left at 430am this morning... Not good we need 20 degrees and 3 feet of snow on the ground over hereKOMO said it was 72 degrees in Yakima yesterday! So crazy. Glad it's cooler today!
Dang. Never managed to get on the NF Sky in my kayak before moving away for a few years. Saw the blowout in 2006 and figured it'd be back in shape by the time I moved back in '09, and didn't hop on it back in '24 because life had gotten busy and I wanted to get properly tuned-up before running that stretch of river. Absolutely beautiful piece of water. Maybe in 2043....Looks like another road blowout on the NF SKY. Above where the repairs were made but shit that sucks. Closed from 2006-2024 and then who knows when this one will get fixed with all the budget cuts everywhere. Yikes.
