Tail: yellow bird fur over white marabou, then grizzly rooster, grizzly dyed yellow rooster and green chartreuse black laced hen
Collar: Olive hen and deer hair
Body: belly white, upper body olive, chartreuse and black deer stacked
legs: olive silicone
eyes: 6 mm gold and black
Face: coated with flexible cement of choice for better pop

Oh man, reading the material lists, I'm shocked. I figured you took a marker and colored in the design on the body/head. Not used pre-dyed hairs to make that design. Can't even fathom how you'd do that. Kudos
Tungsten ant under a spruce moth produced one of the best afternoons of my life on a Rock Creek trip a few years ago. Great fly!
Nice. I'll be to rock creek either early June or early July.
My sales territory includes Missoula. So can't help but to make a trip there once or twice a year.

My feeble attempt to kind of copy. Tried using Chinese pheasant for legs, not the ticket for me. Ended up doing dry hackle. Need to order more soft hackle and practice. Crazy I have so much fly tying shit and seems like I have nothing lol.

Body - Black tying thread built up to a taper

Edit- after some YouTube research on soft hackles, I was wrapping em wrong. Trying to do like dry fly hackle.
Next result was much better
Emerger pattern? Tails a bit long, but overall happy with soft hackle
(Obviously I'm new-ish to tying. Had a kit for 20 years, but not put in work)
