Mine is 10'. About 225 lbs.
10' is great for one or two people. 8' and 9' would be good for 1 person IMHO. 8' weighs about 140 lbs. 7' weighs about 80 lbs.
A number of them for sale on CL right now in your price range. BTW a Sorenson is just like a Livingston. There is even a 7' Livingston for sale...
