You beat me to it. Iβve been doing it this way. So easy and comes out great. Just trim the ends and nuke a couple minutes or so an ear (times do vary based on microwave wattage). Some leave it in the husk, microwave and squeeze it out from the top...never trie it myself, but sounds easy.
..looking forward to a report.

My wife taught me this trick (this year). Work really well and a LOT easier than grilling it.You beat me to it. Iβve been doing it this way. So easy and comes out great. Just trim the ends and nuke a couple minutes or so an ear (times do vary based on microwave wattage).

Been on a bit of a summer seafood kick of late. Seared scallops atop lobster chili crisp polenta with a couple ears of tender crisp corn impeccably prepared without the need to resort to steam or boiling water.

That would be a little highfalutin for me. No need to complicate a very simple process.I wonder if you can achieve the same results with corn via sou vide at 180 degrees
It actually might bee easierβ¦drop some shucked ears, some butter and thyme sprigs into a vacuum bag, drop it into a pot and set the circulator to 180β¦it could stay there an hour if needed while you make the rest of dinner. That would be a little highfalutin for me. I was thinking forgo the bag and just chuck the shucked cobs in the water set to 180*, no monitoring for steam or bubbles needed. It actually might bee easierβ¦drop some shucked ears, some butter and thyme sprigs into a vacuum bag, drop it into a pot and set the circulator to 180β¦it could stay there an hour if needed while you make the rest of dinner.
Werenβt you inquiring about sous vide a little while ago?
Didn't think of thatβ¦however, buttered and herbed might not be badβ¦I was thinking forgo the bag and just chuck the shucked cobs in the water set to 180*, no monitoring for steam or bubbles needed.
