Heard this a while ago on Little Steven's Underground Garage on Sirius XM:
If she had just stuck it out in the "girl-group" genre, just think how big she might have become.......
'Course, she probably wouldn't have gotten around to writing/recording this (my favorite of hers, and really, such a great song). Maybe it's the arrangement here, but it occurs to me that this sounds like it could pass for a traditional Irish song handed down through hundreds of years:
