What Are You Eating?

Go across the big road next time you’re at Poodle Dog. There are a few good options for liverwurst and other cured meats at Emish Market.

Thanks
I read about that place but haven’t been there yet. I will check it out. Close to Sportco as well.

I like it too (also enjoy Spam)

Pat,
I do as well. I fried up some spam with bacon in it recently to go with my eggs.

Wait till you see their selection of herring...
😅
But do yourself a favor and check out the bakery too.

Love it. I heard the cafe there is very good as well.

Never tried the Cafe, but they have good stuff in the bakery. As do all the Eastern European deli type stores.
There's a small place by my Mom's, they have killer sausages, and tons of stuff I never heard of and all sorts of dessert stuff too. Ukrainians and Russians are always shopping in there, I am one of the few who don't speak Russian that shop there I think.
🤣😅🤣

Dave,
Have you ever been to Marvel Food and Deli?
That is another place I’ve been meaning to check out when I’m down south. I’ve heard good things about their food.

They are always closed when I want to go so I haven’t been yet. It looks amazing though. I’ll give a report if I make it down there. Damn, now I’m hungry 😁

Can confirm, it's good. I've only stop by quickly, didn't get much, mostly just walked around looking at things. I have a few students of recent Eastern European heritage that speak highly of it as well.

Is that the place in Auburn ?
Supposed to have some of the best Russian/ Eastern Bloc pantry type stuff around the area.
Pretty far for me, but a good Piroshky is worth traveling for.

One in Tacoma and Auburn.

Well Tacoma is better for me...

Piroshky Piroshky in Seattle makes a delivery to Port Townsend at times, you pre order and then pick up in town.
I missed the December slot, so probably a couple months till they return.
Some of that Eastern Euro stuff is pretty damn good .

Pasta making day. It’s been a few years since I’ve busted out the machine. Made some Kabocha squash ravioli, porcini mushroom ravioli and some general noodles for the freezer pantry. My girlfriend was more impressed with the noodle cutting machine attachment than my hand cut noodles 🤣
