Thanks for the info. I was just looking at this stuff the other day and thinking of picking up a bottle to use on knots on shooting line. Think it would work well for that? This, new to me, gel superglue is turning out to be a valuable item in my fly tying, rod building and honey-do tool kit. Very easy to control without making a big mess..just a heads up..

Forget YETI, I want a Loctite sponsorship.
I think the weak point about the Loctite Brush on superglue product design is less the brush itself which works fine for me, but more the narrow neck which eventually clogs up. It can be cleaned but the nice wide Zap-a-Gap bottle neck is a comparative joy to work with. However, my Zap-a-Gap brush-on bottle necks have gotten glued shut to where I can't open them with pliers; that has never happened to me with Loctite brush-on bottles. Maybe these things are related?

Looks like your bottle neck may have gotten hella clogged, man. I use a bodkin to clean/maintain mine if they start to get clogged. That can also be about the time the bottle is going bad. I don't think I've ever been able to use a whole bottle but I also take some long breaks from tying sometimes. I've also used scissors to trim the occasional bent brush fiber. I think the bent fibers schlob more glue on the bottle neck, and now you got yourself a feedback loop...The bottle neck size is certainly issue. That may be what is causing the brush issue, at least for me. The brush just doesn’t work very well while trying to get the brush in between dumbbell eyes. I usually end up having to trim down the brush. Here is the brush from my current bottle.

Can it be used to fabricate forgotten oars?It deserves a spot in the tying kit and the oh fuck fishing kit
If i would have loctited the collars on it wouldn't have broken at the takeout! Can it be used to fabricate forgotten oars?
How about re-attach a severed rod tip?
(No, but could glue a tip top on…mmmhhmmmm)
This is part of why I want to be sponsored by Loctite. In addition to use for tying, I use it for those painfully recurring skin cracks at fingertips and creases in the winter, likely not healthy but it's an instant problem solver, reduces the sensitivity and accelerates healing IMO.

x2...another trick regarding 3M 5200 and similar, keep it in a zip lock bag in the freezer, take it out the day before you use it, when done back into the freezer. Lasts for years that way.To extend the life try keeping it in the refrigerator.
