Tell those nurses everything that is going on. They can and will help you deal with the struggles of chemo.
I have seen and been touched by angels a couple of times in my life; in both instances, they were nurses.

Thanks for the update @Shawn Seeger . Keep fighting. Fuck cancer.
And yeah, probably time for me to get the ol' colon checked. Sigh.
Or sushi from the hitching post mini mart in soap lake.....It is easy to do, the prep is not that bad.
If you've ever had a bad burrito from a mini mart, or Montezumas Revenge from a trip abroad, you will wonder what all the hype is about.

Heh, "overblown."Exactly
You're asleep for the procedure, no pain involved.
The prep, done correctly so things come out cleanly, is just overblown...
Has anyone done whatever the test is with the talking/walking box? Cologuard I think? Where you collect some poop and send it in?

Heck yeah!!! That's fantastic news!!As I have said before, this website/forum is a great community, even if it is mostly virtual. I have come to know some, met some, and fish with some (hopefully more in the future).
Now the status update, I had my colon surgery to remove the cancer. During the surgery, they found a second cancer in my appendix, so it was removed. Then, the (long) wait for biopsy results. Now, Tuesday was a GREAT and BLESSED day in my life. Met with my oncologist, and I was told I am CANCER FREE!!! I will be on surveillance schedule with CT scans and very specific blood/enzyme tests every 6 month and frequent flyer colonoscopy schedule for the next 3 years.
So, THANK YOU for all of you for positive thoughts and prayers! I also want to say THANK YOU to those that DM'ed me with their stories and the journeys they are on, and encouraging words. They really helped me in those "hard" days!
Lastly and again, I asked, PLEASE schedule a colonoscopy! It can save your life!! It is far easier than the words cancer and the surgery and treatments that could follow.
I will lift up, in prayers and thoughts, those that are still on the journey!
Fish as many days as you can!

Man that's great news Shawn! Colon CA has been punching above its weight in the last five years, increased incidence at younger ages (<50) of onset than in years past.As I have said before, this website/forum is a great community, even if it is mostly virtual. I have come to know some, met some, and fish with some (hopefully more in the future).
