Dont mean to hi-jack this thread but this afternoon driving my wife to see her mom we listened to106.9 FM xmas music channel. Reminded me of the worst or mind blowing cant get out of your head Xmas songs for me.
"I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas/Felice Navidad ...it plays in my head the next 30 minutes.
Then there is the nasally obnoxious 'I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas'.
Wilson sisters....'Hey Santa' Hey just stop, better yet I'll mute it for three minutes.
Love Paul McCartney and Wings but their 'Wonderful Christmastime" repetively warps my brain non stop...
...and of cours Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Yes, some people do things so bad we cannot overlook them but , and not to suggest a person's good can outweigh their bad but when we completely discount the good they do we only harm ourselves.

Gremlins and Christmas Vacation are my only must watch Christmas movies. The wife and kids pick out the rest.
A few bad Elf reviews...our kids love it so it's a classic in out house. I understand Wil Ferrel is not for everyone.

The exterior scenes with the blue skies and brilliant white snow. Snow = Christmas.
Brilliant white snow makes me think of Christmas as a kid when things were much simpler. Unlike South Dakota 40 mph blowing snow, or Cabbage or Lookout ice & snow or Sisters WTF did the road go snow where things were much more complicated.
