Which hook is that?
An interesting version of one of my all-time favorites. I've fished the Sparrow on the swing, as a damselfly nymph, and in several colors as Drake mergers. To me, your version screams tailing bonefish. Having known Jack a bit back in the day, I know he would approve.Gartside Sparrow (variation)
Looks more like a ruptured duck than a sparrow. The shmootz adjacent to the pheasant rump makes a nice marabou sub.

Could these, in a large weighted version, work for lingcod and rockfish ???View attachment 106171
Polychaete Worms.
Whoever posted that Nordic Anglers fly tying video, thank you! These things wiggle and move a lot and mine seem to be almost neutrally buoyant . I tried one with a stinger and the rest with various saltwater āstreamerā hooks to test.

I would think so the marabou + shanks make for a very movement-filled pattern. Was thinking about trying some various colorways for salmon.Could these, in a large weighted version, work for lingcod and rockfish ???
