I can't quite see all the 'bugs', daphnia as well? Interesting seeing the damselfly nymph. I'm sure @RCF will tie up a few of his secret damselfly nymphs....
I think those are blob pupae.
This has been working for me in lakes recently too.
Billy, I'm curious as to the common size's you prefer, and the tail material of this fly? I've been having luck with a similar fly in 12 and mostly 14. Larger sizes and similar balanced leaches just are not hooking up well. Maybe the cold water, might change with warmer water type feeding.
So all I did was was swap out the beat up fly little man and I fished yesterday for a cousin from the same tying session and moved the indicator as deep as I could (we only had about 4' 15# ug so it would always lay out and added some 3X:

Thx. Here is a good simple base that you can then dress up, smoked paprika is good. Bleed and chill fish quickly, poor handling leads to less than satisfactory results. Deep fried 1c flour 1 tsp baking POWDER, spices. Dry fish, flower, dip, flower, deep fry until it floats.
Or, smoke em using the little chief recipie, .5c noniodized salt .5c brown sugar, 1qt water, 1c white wine, pepper, onion, garlic, tobasco
