So all I did was was swap out the beat up fly little man and I fished yesterday for a cousin from the same tying session and moved the indicator as deep as I could (we only had about 4' 15# ug so it would always lay out and added some 3X:

to the 8.5' 4wt Cortland Brook Fly we were using:

and proceeded to go through about 3 dozen fish:

To get a few to eat:

Certainly not going to be alone this time of year on such a beautiful day.

Thx. Here is a good simple base that you can then dress up, smoked paprika is good. Bleed and chill fish quickly, poor handling leads to less than satisfactory results. Deep fried 1c flour 1 tsp baking POWDER, spices. Dry fish, flower, dip, flower, deep fry until it floats.20220324_175347.jpg

Or, smoke em using the little chief recipie, .5c noniodized salt .5c brown sugar, 1qt water, 1c white wine, pepper, onion, garlic, tobasco
