I have never tied a 4"+ fly, some of my winter steelhead patterns are close. This will be an interesting leap from the comfort zone.

Welp. Fucked this one up. I wonder if I could stretch out the flash in the tail a bit ;). It’s like being 5’ 11 3/4” and wearing thicker soles (for the record I’m a solid 1/2” over 6’).

Regardless, they’ll fish.

Yes, it's a gimmick. I forgot the bead/cone head, and you can see I screwed up the head, but with the back hook point amputated and a sink tip, it should be worth a swing through a flat or two....
