CA Seals and Sealions eating all of WA Springers?

Chinook smolts range between 3"-5", how much energy would a Sealion use to feed on something so small?
Maybe @Smalma or @Salmo_g can elaborate if Sealions would feed on Chinook smolts.

Just a fact, the photos I put up where from Sealions eating smolt releases from the Kalama, that the hatchery just released per the hatchery manager. Same on the Cowlitz but the seals also were eating adults. The smolt are an attractor and I am assuming to over population of sealions and seals (they look like seaguls they are so thick) they are eating every fish they can. They will soon starve and the fisheries suffer due to smolt loss, I suspect as nature goes. Just sad so much resources to raise to just be gobbled up. They net out and shoot cannons at birds, so why not the sealions. Ive seen a tribe shoot rockets at them. Bring in the Candadian orcas!
