What Are You Eating?

My son just brought me back this pistachio creama from Florence. So just gosh darned righteously good, want to make cookies and use this as a filling but keep eating a scoop 😀

That stuff is great...
Pistachio cake with ricotta is the sh!t.
Probably need more though.
🤣

In a few hours, my kid and I will be enjoying some nice stripped down French dip sammiches. Currently have a tri tip in the sous vide (probably do a total of 6-7 hrs), then chill, then finish on the grill, slice, throw on toasted rolls, dip in au jus, eat.

This might be more your style…killer bbq in Brooklyn…brisket, pulled pork, rown sugar bacon, wings and sausage…fabulous baked beans with burnt ends…etc…
I’ve been there. Long time ago; glad to see it’s still going. It was great and definitely “more my style.” Apparently it was also Tunde Adibempe’s style (singer from TV On the Radio) because he was there too.

Oysters from Brittany…
How'd those oysters compare to what we have locally in the PNW? I ask because I had oysters (raw in the half shell) at the Acme Oyster House in NOLA because they're supposed to be so damn good. They're good, but not as good as what we have locally, which was the case for all the seafood I ate in New Orleans. I'm one spoiled fish (and shell fish) snob.

Cold water seafood and shellfish is generally better than warm water....

So…these were exceptional…but i agree, the best are from WA. Gulf coast oysters are not even close…however, i can make the argument for seafood (not shellfish) being tje best from Hawaii…

All paired with a very nice Beaujolais & Sauternes
Did you cook all of that, or are you at a restaurant? Either way, looks like a phenomenal meal.

Small dinner with friends. Nothing to show since it's gone.
Braciole
Spaghetti topped with a sauce from the braciole drippings
Family style Lettuce and tomato salad
Sourdough garlic bread,
Slices of pumpkin and Resses peanut butter cup pies for desert.
No alkyhole, just coffee, water, and assorted juice

Oh, and forgot the Bana Calda
