She's a fine human being...
Her charity work with her imagination library is a great idea and hugely successful.
Don't care for that style of music, but she has my admiration for who she is.
 
 


Just came across this record on Spotify. Have loved the original one for a long time. This is sweet, set to the original tracks of the Attractions, remastered and whatnot, sooooo good. What an exciting fresh band at that time.

I've heard Rodrigo's "Concierto de Aranjuez" done by so many artists; what a wonderful tribute to Rodrigo! Such a great composition, beautiful with a full symphony and striking with Jim Hall's jazz rendition. I'd forgotten about Miles Davis and this recording, very, very nice.

@Canuck from Kansas … I have a personal affinity for this song because i was constantly called Jolene in school because my real name was Jolyn (which i hated) , though i went by Jo. (It’s my husband and another friend who only call me Jojo).

Dolly is amazing and this song made me love her (along with “Here You Come Again”.) I too hope she does a rock n roll album. I wish she would let us choose the songs!

Anyway my best friend knows how much i love the song Jolene and a few months ago sent me the Lil Nas X version. Now I think this is my favorite version of all. (I also like Miley Cyrus’s version. )

I do think this Lil Nas version was put up before on the old site, if not by me, then someone else. It’s just great. It makes me wish my name really was Jolene.
