Anyway my best friend knows how much i love the song Jolene and a few months ago sent me the Lil Nas X version. Now I think this is my favorite version of all. (I also like Miley Cyrus’s version. )

I do think this Lil Nas version was put up before on the old site, if not by me, then someone else. It’s just great. It makes me wish my name really was Jolene.

I love it slowed down. In fact I tried to find a Dolly version where she slowed it down - search takes you to recording slowed from 45 to 33 (younger folks won't have a clue what that means, heh, heh).

That’s the reason i love Lil Nas on this song! I found the version where they took a 45 rpm and played it at 33 RPM, but it doesn’t sound like her voice at all, though i love that it’s slower. He’s so damn cute too. Plus i had already loved this song by him with Billy Ray Cyrus.
 
The Delines; 'Hold me slow' is a crushingly beautiful song, singer Amy Boone really delivers on this song and throughout this album of after-hours smokey Americana. Can't recommend this bunch highly enough.
