Rain

UPS Grad, USAF McChord, and don't miss the crowds. Having a lake to myself even if I can only fish them a few months of the year will have to do. Bottom line, just jealous.

Seems like I remember a CM forecast not predicting the frequent 100+ temps we had to endure this past summer??????? Our long ranger predicts back to the 90s by the end of/beginning of the month. I keep hoping CM is correct but than reality sets in.

I feel like I need to come clean. I am wearing jeans today. And I'm not hating it.
Looks like I'll be back in shorts on Sunday, but as much as I hoped for a sunny shorts and t-shirt trip offshore from Westport tomorrow, it doesn't seem to be in the cards. I'll be saving big bucks on sunscreen and won't be hot. So I got that going for me. Which is nice.

I hear ya'. I wore long pants and shoes and socks all week. Damn, shorts and flip flops is too short a season, and extra short this year with the late spring and now early fall.

I've been looking for a few yrs, today I found and left 1 on the pin.

From AP:

West Coast mountains get early snowstorm

An unusually cold storm on the mountain peaks along the West Coast late last week brought a hint of winter in August. The system dropped out of the Gulf of Alaska, down through the Pacific Northwest and into California. Mount Rainier, southeast of Seattle, got a high-elevation dusting, as did central Oregon’s Mt. Bachelor resort.

Woke up to a heavy misty morning…
Thick enough to wet stuff.
Sunny afternoon/evening now.

Looks like back to summer for the next couple weeks. Hoping for more unseasonally cool weather after that, but we'll see....

RAIN?? Holy crap did it rain on me today! I was on a local lake watching some shitty dark clouds coming from the NW towards me…..it cut loose! Lots of thunder but thankfully didn’t see any lightning. At least I was prepared….had my raincoat with me. But a good day catching!

It’s August and I have not watered my yard in 3 weeks. Pretty damn green…

But...
Doesn't that mean you still have to mow ?
I'm always happy when the lawn browns out and goes dormant and I can stop mowing for a bit.

It should be a holiday, like in the constitution type deal.
:)
