Server / forum slowdown issues

Well after a bit of a respite it's back to operating at the speed of molasses.
 
Oddly enough, it's working great for me today.
 
Right now intermittent speed... Sometimes fast, sometimes slow. Going from New Posts to a thread
 
Dial up modem slow. Molasses in February slow while switching from one thread to another.
 
on a Chromebook w/Ad Blocker and decent internet speed, PNWFF is a very fast load.
On of the joys of retirement after spending the last decade of work with an embedded Thinkpad w/strong authorization, is having to turn on a Microsoft laptop only come tax time.

I'm on high speed cable, using a Samsung Galaxy tablet. Everything else is fast as greased lightning except for this forum.

In a weird way it's making me fully realize just how much time I waste here...the only social media in which I participate.

Yeah, it's not a device issue. Happens on my Microsoft laptop in Chrome, Samsung S23 on 5G or Wifi on Chrome, logged in or not logged in. It's definitely the site.
Intermittent issues are tough! Evan, Josh and Billy deserve some beers after this one.
 
I hope Evan, Billy, and Josh are out fishing and catching a lot too. They need a break and then come back to the issue(s) with new insight.

well, so much for that theory...lol
 
On and off slow for a while now, weeks at least.
I always just assumed it was my wifi or phone
The deeper you go into the site, the slower it would get at times.
Think everyone is just used to fast loading pages...but really it's just about 3-5 seconds, unless things are real slow, then 8-12 seconds...sometimes 15 seconds.
For me anyways
Sometimes things don't load at all, and need to refresh the page a few times.
 
It's likely some kind of software issue which is going to be extra fun to dial in. Haven't had much time to work on it but hope to keep plugging away soon

Shad, but true. (Seriously, go fishin', Silverfly needs some shad scales).
 
Just got a Service 503 Error message. 10 minutes later it was gone.
 
Have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in? That's my fall back remedy for all things tech related.
