Nail biter, but fun to watch ...

Go Canada!!

I've been watching Olympic figure skating off and on since the 1960s. This year I have come to realize that I have no idea what the difference is between a triple sowchow, triple lutz, triple axle, and a triple toe loop. In every one the skater jumps into the air and spins around three and a half times and hopefully lands on his or her skate on not their butt. Perhaps Wiki can learn me sumthin'.

You are doing better than me. I almost can't watch the ski/board freestyle and big air jumps. They do so many spins/flips I really have no idea what I'm watching. Then they call it some insane number and I feel like I'm back in 5th grade math trying to figure out what happened. I liked it better before when style was a bigger component, this just seems like winter gymnastics...

Okay. Okay. I have to admit I am a convert. After a couple of decades of avoiding watching it, I now enjoy watching ---> curling. So much skill,, strategy, nuances, angles involved in throwing a granite rock down a sheet of ice. I actually enjoy watching the US women's team.

US Women's team blow the 10th end with the hammer up a point to lose on a 2 point steal by Great Britain...ugh...

I just enjoy the insanity of doing flips on skis or boards that high in the air. I finally caught on that the big number equals the degrees of rotation during a jump. I got quite an adrenaline rush watching the snow boards on the half pipe. No way am I setting up on that track! Then my lungs about burst watching the x-country ski relay last night. Whew! I didn't think watching could be so exhausting!

Yeah, who'd a thunk there could be cheating at curling? I'm just amazed that there are so many people from all over who do this, and after the Olympics it disappears for another four years. Where is all the curling the other three years?

Huge game going on right now, Gold medal game Canada vs US Women's hockey...

Go Canada!!!

OT all tied up! Fortunately. Grabbing lunch in between meetings and catching a little bit of it.

Anyone know why in Olympic OT hockey, they only go with 3 + goalie per team?

Just to shorten the game? Seems weird....
