Winter Olympics 2026

Open it up, greater chance of a score an not needing to go to a shootout. I love it.

Yeah, I liked that aspect a lot! I just hadn't ever seen it before....then again, my sample size is pretty small for amount of hockey at any level I've watched.

Anyone know why in Olympic OT hockey, they only go with 3 + goalie per team?

Just to shorten the game? Seems weird....
To be fair, that is the way NHL/PWHL/NCAA hockey overtime works as well. NHL went to 3-on-3 for OT in 2015 or so.

Another nail-biter, Canada on to the final for hockey gold!!!!

Go Canada!!!

Tonight was a breath of fresh air. I got to watch the Figure Skating Exhibition Gala. To watch the people that wanted to skate to show the artistry of skating, their love of it, the joy doing it, and the happiness it brought to them was amazing! Alysa Liu skated in competition, not for a medal, but to do the best she could do. Tonight she skated to 'share her art'.

I truly loved the lack of competition, rather the joy it brought to so many. Both performing and watching. Wish there was more of it...
