I like it. There's a slow water spot I know with chinook and pretty sure some coho stacked up where that might get the job done.

Would love to see what others use for high stick salmon nymphing.

I like these in 1/2 oz tied on to 16-20 lb mono and a 6-7’ medium-heavy spinning rod.

Well, yeah. That would be the efficient way... Pretty sure I have some rabbit and rubber legs buried somewhere in the hoarder bins.

You seem to have a pretty good program but it can be nice to have options.

I was mostly just chuckling a bit at the idea of a whole community of tight line salmon fly fishers. I think that’s pretty niche, homey.

Found this version here; plan to use it more as a caddis cripple/emerger/egglayer. Subbed grouse for knotted pheasant tail legs for a bit more durability.

X-Moth

Tied the same as a standard X-Caddis; since spruce moths are terrestrial, not aquatic, insects, the butt doesn’t represent a shuck, just a bit of sparkle to attract.
