Saw Davie McPhail’s Certainty Muddler and used sequence from tying a Spundun wing to create a similar head shape. Not how I normally like my Muddlers but worth a look.

Still waiting for the B-run coho to show up. Had some fun Wednesday playing with dark chinook though. Managed to find 3 players out of several dozen that moved through some rough pocket water.

I hate using shot, so experimenting here with some heavy hook patterns. Top row are tied on some massive down eye bait hooks my Dad found decades ago. Pretty sure he liked them for eggs, but I'm liking the profile for shrimp and nymphs.

All the others are tied on tuna live bait hooks. Super-heavy/sharp/unbreakable. Love these for salmon egg/nymph/shrimp patterns. The lower 2 rows are my go to colors for pocket water salmon, but tend to work better for coho than chinook (hence the green and black).

Would love to see what others use for high stick salmon nymphing.
