Kind of a foam backed Griffith’s Gnat; swapped out the deer hair wing for synthetic.

hook - WFC Model 6 #10
thread - SemperFli 8/0 tan
body - peacock
hackle - grizzly
shellback/head - 2mm foam tan
wing - Congo Hair white
legs - medium rubber cornsnake
indicator - 1mm foam orange

Just tie more! Some for the logs, some for the trees, some for the fish.
I got a limb that now holds 1/2 dozen different ties + now a nymph pair and bobber of my sons. The roots hold a couple more. But if you get through the window you can then get enough drift, nice fish are usually to be had.
Did a lot of plastic bottle and cup cleanup last time out. Water is low enough now I should be able to get in and clean up after myself. I know where I got to get a bunch of braided line from other folks also.

I found a comb on the beach that I now keep in my pack. I use it to brush out my flies, as some flies with a lot of flash material get tangled up after a lot of use or after catching a number of fish on them. It works really well. I wish I’d started carrying one a long time ago.
