body - UV-X ET dubbing cinnamon
hackle - ginger
shoulder - pheasant rump
collar/head - deer hair

Playing around with Rob Denson’s creation; subbed ringneck for golden pheasant first shoulder and aftershaft for hen hackle at the front.

hook - WFC Model 6 #10
thread - SemperFli 8/0 brown
tag - medium tinsel opal
rib - small wire gold
body - dubbing hare’s ear
hackle - ginger
1st shoulder - pheasant body feather
2nd shoulder - pheasant aftershaft (loop dubbed))

First attempts at a rolled muddler but something doesn't look right. Deer hair is kind of a pain in the ass.
Looks great! I do like tying with deer hair myself, a new and sharp razor makes it easier I’ve found. You can really tighten and flare them with Gsp thread without adding bulk, nano silk is pretty much all I use nowadays.

Yeah, I used gsp and a new razor. After watching a few more videos I'm going to try trimming with scissors. Seems like that might give the look I'm going for. Not that it matters for fishing.
 
If you Google Cutthroat Candy fly pattern you'll find a bunch of patterns by the same name. I can remember back in the day when there were a lot of guys calling the Borden Special Cutthroat Candy. God only knows how many different patterns go by the Caddis Fly Larva handle
