What's Catching You Fish?

it was my last sparkle dun that went adios on last take of the session this morning. First time all season I caught more browns than bows. I need a smaller net, the 32" bow on my boat net makes all my catches look like dinks...lol

this got it done today (and all of this year, for that matter!)

This Brown and a handful of his brothers were happy to slam the MFC micro chubby which has become my confidence fly for tossing against the shoreline under overhanging bushes. Fall is here, 40 at the lake when we arrived mid morning, quickly warmed up to 60 by noon. Wife was kicking back on bird patrol with binoculars, spotted a bunch.

Big shout out to Rex @Starman77 for sharing his T-Waterboatman pattern and tips on how to fish it:

I was in Winthrop this week on an anniversary trip with my wife and was able to hit a couple local lakes each day. Only fished from shore and during mid day, but the T-Waterboatman was a winner:

Thanks again Rex!

I don't find the need to knot the craw legs either. The knotted pheasant legs on the muddled stuff is voodoo magic though.

While I picked up decent numbers on the contact euro stick, they were grabby enough to just roll with the streamer rod the last couple of hours I was there...

Most of the partridge hackle is missing from the STN.

I can't remember the name of this fly:

@Divad - help with the name? Bead color is different from the pattern you showed the forum. My last two outings this fly worked pretty well. Thanks for the material (FNF Slush Jelly - Pellet).
