What's Catching You Fish?

Chumdillyicious !!!!

Seems several years ago I was posting I wasn't much of a streamer fisherman and really hadn't caught much on them. Still not sure I'm much of a streamer fisherman, but I do have enough confidence to throw streamer(ish) stuff all day now. Started with a jiggy craw,

and finished the day fishing a classic conehead white marabou muddler.

All three caught fish but the burgundy BMW, even after most of the tail was gone, was money.

Nothing BIG, most were 10" - 14" with one at 17". It was 41°F and windy. I thought I had enough layers to be warm, nope. I really like the heated steering wheel and seats after a COLD day lakeside.

I enjoyed those features for the first time yesterday. While it was nice at points it was nasty like this at times too.

Shout out to Clarkman for giving me a bag of his giant musky flies. Randy, you told me to try them for bull trout, and I always (seldom) do as I'm told.

You can't see the fly very well in this picture but it is a massive walking, twitching, darting monster that did the trick.

This was by far the fattest bull I've ever seen. It looked like a triploid.

SON!!!!

What a pig. That fish deserves it's own post, honestly. With deets about where it was and how it ate and what rock you stood on and such....

Congrats man. That's a fish of a lifetime in my book.

Well, unless we’re gonna put a pin in this thread and lock it up after that ridiculous bull, someone needs to lower expectations.

So I’ll get us started :geek:

Found some spooky late October spiny rays in central WA.

They liked my V1 spawn tail jig. Next batch I want to bulk up a bit.
