This happened to hook 2 winters (neither landed ) and 3 cutthroat (all landed). Most dead drifted. One steelhead swung and one cutty stripped....

These 2 did most of the heavy lifting this weekend.

Size 15 Alec Jackson covert nymph hook. Lots of chironomids hatching today. I'd guess many were size 16 with some a bit bigger (say 14's), the size 15 hook split the difference.
