What are you listening to?

That reminds me. I belong to Abeja wine club. Two days after John Prine died ( in early April) i opened this bottle of chardonnay and we drank it sitting outside. And i sent this email to Jordan who was the contact guy i order from.

After not seeing any live music since Hot Snakes at Chop Suey on 3/5/2020, I went to TWO very different shows this weekend, which was pretty thrilling to be honest. The first was with my wife on Friday. We saw local funk outfit Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio at the Croc 3.0. All that sound coming from three dudes. Delvon is phenomenal on the Hammond B3. It was fun to shake a leg a little bit at this show and sort of ease back into the whole "crowds" thing.

Sunday night brought the sludge, the noise and the earplugs with Ty Segall and the Freedom Band. One thing I love about them is I can't think of anyone else making music who is that simultaneously noisy and just overall loud, while also overlaying three-part vocal harmonies, well executed. It ain't for everybody. Hell, it's not what I always want to listen to. It was awesome to feel that bass thump my whole body again, jostle in the crowd, have that communal rock show experience again.

I have fairly eclectic musical tastes.

Last month's most streamed artist around Mossback Manor according to my streaming service...

Wonderful! I wasn't familiar with this particular recording and wondered if who accompanied Lester Young on guitar. I thought it might have been Jim Hall (it wasn't). Here's a recording that is frequently streamed around here:
