What are you listening to?

Listener supported KBRD Radio AM 680, streamed on the internet from beautiful downtown Lacey, WA.
What an eclectic music museum!
"Whether you like piano rolls, pre-1920 cylinders, 78s from the 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s or early 45s and mono LPs, this is your station. Broadcasting on AM 680, and FM 101.1 (FM xmitter is down 😢) with the full audio spectrum. On the internet we stream in the original monaural not wasting bandwidth. Better than CD quality."

I collected vinyl in the 1970s and then in about in1973 I sold all my vinyl at Cellophane Square in the U district in Seattle at about $.25 per album. Then started collecting again after a divorce in 1982 and started collecting The Windhamhill group of artists and then had a daughter in the late1980s and that took care of my music budget for awhile. Now I mostly listen to NPR and that is kinda sad compared to you guys. It keeps me entertained while working in my shop. I do have a bunch of cds from the 80s and maybe later but mostly used on lower key than I would like in an ideal world. Used to go to concerts all the time in early days... The Dead, CSNY, Alice Cooper, Ten Years After, Savoy Brown, Fleetwood Mac, and others but now it is NPR.... that sounds pretty bad but its what I do now. My wife doesn't like music as loud as I would like and that is a compromise I made with the bigger picture. She is worth it. We have been married for nearly 35 years now.

My oldest daughter and I have start recording vinyl together. After considerable research I landed on a good turntable and got it hooked up to my new onkyo receiver that feeds 5 brand new Polk Signature series speakers. I think we have maybe about 8-10 albums so far. Does anyone else share the same hobby?
I’ve been collecting vinyl for quite a few years now. Almost all my collection is vintage stuff I picked up at garage sales or the thrift stores. Back when cd’s came out I used to find a lot at garage sales.
Since I got divorced my collection came out of the closet.
I saw Pink Floyd on that pulse division bell tour in bc. What a great concert. I have the cd still but the led light in the case stopped pulsing years ago.

That collection is great. Mine is still under 12 I think but not in a hurry to break records I have been playing the crap out of the ones I had. I turned the news off a year ago and got a record collection, a recliner, and a book. It has changed my life. I am greatly jealous of your attendance at that pulse concert. Its going to bug me when Mr Gilmore passes one day. He has been in the top 3 of my influences for playing the guitar.
My goal is to buy a house and buying my dream pool table i have wanted since a kid and having the record collection in the same room. Love the idea of having bud's over for some 9ball and listen to some killer quality music. Have a great day sir.

One of the great songwriters and storytellers of his era (Gordon Lightfoot pretty damn good too) - thanks for posting!!

cheers
He really is. I was sad when i heard about his death because he was still making great music. I loved his last album Tree of Forgiveness so much that i overplayed it to the point i have to put it away for awhile. The lyrics from it seemed like he knew he wasn’t long for this world. He seemed liked such a sweet man. I’ve watched this Strombo concert a few times. How cool would it be to be in that living room!
