Bottom to top - basmati rice toasted in a turmeric and cumin-infused butter/oil mix then cooked in chicken stock; chicken thighs marinated in olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt, cumin, and black pepper; cut and salted tomatoes; shaved romaine; a yogurt sauce with sour cream, water, preserved lemon, garlic, parsley, olive oil, red wine vinegar, and black pepper; a small handful of parsley and more black pepper.

I could sink my teeth into that.

How's the Kewpie Mayo ?

How's the Kewpie Mayo ?

I like it. @tyler recommended it so grab some at Costco.
Had a tuna sandwich with it the other day and added some wasabi to the it. Very good.

I've seen it before and wondered...you find it more 'eggy' with it being all yolks instead of whole eggs ?
I'll probably get some next trip, worth trying at least.

Definitely has a different flavor and color from regular mayo. At least to me, I can also taste the vinegar which I can’t in regular mayo, which I like.

I like the consistency of the kewpie too, thicker than Best Foods. Kewpie makes a US version and an original Japanese version, which is even thicker.

If you like the vinegar Duke's is the tartest and they use apple cider vinegar, I really like it.
Best Foods homestyle kind of splits the difference between regular Best Foods (aka Hellmans) and Kewpie. They used to carry it at Safeway but I don’t see it anymore. But then they started stocking Dukes at QFC so that’s what I usually get now.
Growing up in the South, I have a long and deep relationship with mayonnaise.

Mayonnaiseβ€”a polarizing condiment.

I once dressed as Mayonnaise Man for Halloween. The best part was I filled an empty mayo jar with vanilla pudding and went around eating big serving spoonfuls of it. That trick made at least two people gag.

I use the same one…I broil until I begin to get the char, then switch to bake until internal temp of 120…
I love that dish. Do you do the super long marinade?
