Mentaiko (spicy cod roe) pasta. Mochiko chicken in the upper right corner. Yoshoku cuisine at Chez Kenzo Bar and Grill in Honolulu, near Ala Moana Mall. If you’re ever on Oahu, I cannot recommend the place highly enough for the culinarily curious. The only place I know where you can get a shot of Yamazaki 12 year old for $20. I don’t think you can find more bang for the buck in Hawaii than at Kenzo’s.

Is it a salt water trout?

I recently learned it’s a sea-run trout, like a rainbow/steelhead. It gets its name, Sakura masu, because it ascends their natal rivers in the Spring, when the cherry (Sakura) trees bloom.

Musang is great, and cool to see more Filipino food in the city. Che Bogz (Filipano food truck) down the block is having a soft opening starting today through Sunday Hours are WED - SAT: 11am - 7pm SUN: 11am - 4pm
