What Are You Eating?

Thanks!

I've been using kale in my salads over the last year or two. I haven't tried to cook it, yet. I'll try when I next cook for myself. My wife and daughter wouldn't likely be fans.

Having a simple grilled dry aged strip tonight…

After leaving Mercer Island in 27 degrees on Friday, then leaving Twin Falls Sat morning 16 degrees, and getting gas in Jackpot NV 9 degrees…im liking the 56 degree weather in Henderson…and dry…and grilling…
nice looking steak. when i was young, he would bring home T-bones from the meat case. if they 'aged' in the case, and had some brown, he had to mark down. we had t-bones almost every week. that said, when i started grilling he recommended ribeye.

I like to cut up a potato and some onion..put them in a cast iron skillet with some olive oil and butter.. Salt, pepper and paprika. This is a start to great breakfast. It takes some time, but that is the point.. it gets the smells going... Take your time cooking the sausage and eggs however you please. Dump it all on a plate and you have a kick ass breakfast. Sour creme and salsa... Maybe a Bloody Mary or two .... Easy Peasy. I always plan on a nap after this kind of breakfast.

Up at the Snoqualmie Casino Hotel that opened last year! Beautiful room! Ordered room service and relaxed and slept. About to head down to the floor! A great way to recharge with everything I've got going on these days!20260222_184832.jpg20260222_162120.jpg20260222_162104.jpg

I fixed steak and potatoes last night. No kale. A green salad made with lettuce and other civilized greens, cucumber, and tomato, and a bit of feta cheese on top. And red wine, of course.
"No kale." My grandson absolutely loves oven roasted kale leaves sprayed with olive oil - a dash of salt. Kale chips. Tasty!

Huevos Rancheros at MiCocinita in Soap Lake might be the best breakfast ever cooked.

Awwww....That ain't no bigger than a whisper.
It's a wide mouth so you can dip your Oscar Meyer hotdog in it! An emergency ketchup for the zombie apocalypse!

Plus it makes my hands look BIGGER!

Heinz was once the undisputed king of ketchup. Then the sneaky bastards substituted high fructose corn syrup for sugar, kinda' like Coke did years ago with their soda pop formula. Other brands filled the quality ketchup void - I highly recommend Annie's. Losing the ketchup war, Heinz backtracked and now offers ketchup both with and without HFCS. Having been once deceived by Heinz, I abandoned the fvckers. There are several brands of good organic non-HFCS ketchup available fortunately. Heinz can go to hell as far as I'm concerned. How's a guy to have a good hamburger or meatloaf without quality ketchup? Not to mention the fries . . .
