There's far too much detail in that thing!

Besides, that also requires a dry fly...that's not in my repertoire....
 
I dig the serpent like wing tips. If I saw it spread out like that I'd of shot a bolt into it to pin it to the wall, then pin it to some cardboard.
 
We got these Southern Green Stinkbugs movin’ in, too! I found a 2nd instar, thought it odd as I remembered it from childhood from the SE US but never here, looked it up and found this—

I guess invasive species are generally bad juju, but if we gotta have 'em, they might as well be purty ones. That moth is bad ass! (Granted, it looks like it could eat an acre a day, or perhaps a small child....)
 
There are weirdos that raise moths (me) except I did silkworms which are domesticated and can't survive in the wild. I wonder if this was a science project turned loose?
