It’s funny, on the Devlin site, I think they think “burdensome” means something different than it actually means. Unless it’s just brutally honest marketing for a wooden boat. They open with: “The Candlefish 16 is a burdensome fishing skiff.”

Maybe it is for a used boat but it’s all there. Would a brand new boat, oars, trailer for $4grand be overpriced?
I keep looking for the right boat and pretty much everything is overpriced or needs too much attention so I pass

took another look and magnified the pic, didn't realize it was a Watershed, so take back the over priced comment...really well made boats made in Sublimity OR until they closed.

There was one on Marketplace in the Seattle area that eventually went down to $1750. Posting was removed a few weeks ago. That one had a Baker trailer too.

I have the same boat or maybe a little bigger version. It has been a great boat for lakes as well as a good drift boat that I have used on the sac and trinity. Mine was a little more in line with the good boat deal thread at $700

I’ve narrowed down my Puget Sound boat interests to mostly this genre of Lund 16’. Fits within my pretty restrictive towing capacity limitations but still pretty sound-capable from what I gather. This one also has a bow mounted trolling motor and presumably spot lock.

Any of you boat knowers/havers think this looks like a good deal? Looks pretty clean. Don’t worry, I won’t hold you legally liable for your advice

looks like a vg price for a nice beamy skiff if everything checks out.
Boat hull like that is easy to eyeball, open all the hatches and look for mold or water, check the exterior seams, etc.
Motor - a 40 should push that easily mid to upper 20's with two aboard. Check maintenance for oil changes, impellers, plugs, lower unit gear oil, gas filter
check the date on the batteries, anything over 4 years is due for replacement.

Its possible that might be an older model Terrova without spot lock. I'd double check. I think they sell an upgrade kit though that can add it.
