Multiple beavers wash up dead along Salish Sea shores
It's currently unclear if the creatures died from toxins, disease, human influence, or climate-related stress.
Years ago I was fishing a well known Seattle beach for coho. There was a dead, hairless and bloated beaver bobbing around the shoreline all morning. No matter what happened with the tide it just stayed in my zone. I tried moving spots and it always seemed to be right next to me. It was like playing dodgeball when the ferry kicked up waves. 
A couple of months too early to retain.
