Slow Day on Alone Lake

These two guys had a nice inflatable dinghy, and a very overpowered gas outboard. They'd get one guy in front and get up on a plane. They tried to stay away from us fisher folk, but it's a small lake

They got up on plane, sounds like it was just-right-powered! 😹


I might have to get my indicator rods rigged up and give @Dave Boyle a ring to visit ol’ Alone Lake, especially if this weather keeps up so warm.

Any time Matt, my boat is now nearby on the island, and most happy to repay the favor. Working on a a nice floor mat to finish it off. The weather looks good for a while. Think 1 1/2” bloodworms, Lance ties them as balanced leeches. There were risers which ai didn’t expect but no sign of bugs or shucks.

Took a chance today as a long weekend for many and less ferry wait hell. 5 to the net, black and blue balance leeches did the trick at 10’-12’ depth.
N wind was not too bad and sun was lovely. Usually net release fish but this piglet got all tangled up and so Treefrog snapped the hero shot. A few boats out oddly 3 were spin fishing.

Got on th the 4 pm ferry as planned and so all good.

how much work or how long does it take to deal with a spammer or other unwanted poster such as this? 👆

I have no idea what it takes to run a site such as this and was curious.

Not a lot of work for an obvious one like this, especially once someone uses the “report” function. Mostly just a few mouse clicks.

The bigger challenge is blocking them before they register on the site while still allowing real users through. Or trying to figure out if someone is legitimate and just an oddball (plenty of those and flyfishing), or if they’re an actual scammer with a more clever plan to phish people’s data or simply steal money.
