Had my first full day off in almost two weeks and loaded up my dory and my dog and headed to the nearby island. Only one grab, probably a small bass. Still, it was great to get away from my desk and out on the water under the sun!

Rigby continues to be a good first mate.

I heard from somebody else that they had some success recently with a booby fly on a fast sinking line.
 
my belated report:
nice calm overcast day with no wind.
shared the lake with 3 other guys from the general Seattle area who who were on the 8:30 ferry with me.
I trolled and stripped various fly patterns on intermediate lines and did not get any hits till the last 30 minutes on the lake. Then I got cold and called it quits.
the other guys got a few each and were doing pretty much the same tactics.

awesome day to be out the water and I am getting my new (new to me) pram dialed in. I love using the electric motor.

I fished it last week. Bloodworms just off the bottom got me hits and my buddy fish. A black/
Blue balanced leach at 10’ worked well for him and got me interest but I only had the one fish to the net. The crapper is closed due to vandalism and a honey bucket is now infront.

The perfect fishing buddy right there. Never complains and always interested in every part of the fishing day.

I’ve seen the Sheriff’s deputy roll through the parking lot on more than one occasion.
 
I’ve never heard of any trouble there. A lot of folks dog walk or just swing by for a break which helps. The lot is wide open so easy to see any malfeasance. I’m more worried the driving skills of folks as one dipshit bent the the lhs lights on my trailer when they backed out.

My frustration is having a word with folks fishing bait or actually folks setting up/taking down their pontoons on the boat ramp thus preventing folks from launching their boats…it you do this please don’t. There is loads of room on the grass to do that.

I thought motors weren't allowed and was grumbling to myself at a couple guys with a outboard, but I checked the sign when I got to shore and sure enough I was wrong.
 
You can use a motor for getting around but not for fishing is my interpretation…seen a few folks trolling under motor power which is not allowed.

I think it's a little different because the fish and wildlife regulations say no gas but the county doesn't. So if you're fishing I don't think you can use a gas motor. If you're just pleasuring you can use gas. My neighbor used to have a cabin on the lake with a ski boat on the dock.
 
I was thinking electric. A few salmon boats stop by the ramp from quick purge too. Folks can water ski on there too so not sure what is right for outboards other than no motor based fishing re any type.
