Simms Sells Again

I mean I like high performing breathable waders as much as the next guy but not at the cost of polluting ground and surface water with carcinogens that never break down.
I wouldn't worry about it...PFAS are so ubiquitous it won't matter a bit. Horse left the barn decades ago.

It looks like waders should be the least of our worries.

Plus it accumulates in sewage sludge (euphemistically called 'biosolids') which has been spread on agricultural lands by most cities for at least 50 years. PFAS concentrations in such sludge are completely unregulated. Crops uptake PFAS in sludge quite well...so yum!

If people are really concerned about things they put in their body, never go through a drive-thru, never order takeout and never piss off the chef.
That'll reduce your intake of chew spit, fecal matter and snot rockets. etc.

Are you worrying about working on learning to stop worrying?
Of course! But I'm working on that, too. It's the popular postmodern cycle of doom.

At my age the easiest thing to do is wet wade. Avoids issues in trying to put waders on and then taking them off. Also avoids worrying about leaks. If it is too cold, find warmer water/weather.

Still have a pair of Bare's.
The blue ones with the neoprene and Velcro shoulder straps? I rocked a pair of those for many years, but they finally gave up the ghost.

They were pretty dope waders at the time (early-mid 90’s)
