Show Us Your Humpies !!!

Holy crap those things are gnarly.

My PB pink is probably about 7#. And It's a toss up between a dark humped out monster on the Sky 25 years ago or the top one in this pic from Browns Point about 10 years ago. The one in the pic definitely fought harder since it was in the salt and chrome. And thick!

The dude tossing gear next to me was pumped for me, but kept yelling "Dude! you got a silver! Man that's a nice silver!"
I finally get it to hand and I'm like "It's a pink" Not sure he believed me. :ROFLMAO:

I had left the cooler in the truck. It was actually pretty slow that day, but then a school came thru and I caught these back to back and lost another one. The following 15 minutes had nothing so I grabbed these and headed for the cooler and home. It was delicious!

A bigger one came out of the Stilly in 2007.
We live in record humpy country folks....

Seems like I remember the old gamefishin board had some humpy anglers who were chasin' records back in the early 2000's, 2003 or 2005 I guess.
Even back then they took quite the beating, today kids call it being dragged I think.
:)

Pass the crackers please..

My biggest saltwater humpy was a buck I estimated at nearly 10 pounds. Caught it on the surface with a Miyawaki popper (slider) on a MA-9 beach. It had dozens of sea lice around the anal fin. That humpy put up a hard fight and earned its freedom.

That's a fine Humpy...a Humpy to be proud of to be sure.
:)

Monster Pink on a Popper MA9.JPG

A photo of the big humpy buck I caught on a Miyawaki popper from a MA-9 beach (Sept 2007). When it ate the fly on the surface I thought it was a double digit hook-nose coho. It fought a long time, a true slab. My hands never touched it, a clean release.

You want slime, slippery smelly slime? Come on over and catch a big carp, lift it out of the water (no kissing required) and then release it. Sniff, sniff. Phew. And to think I love fishing for them. (Miss fishing pinks too.)
