The rain was welcome, things cooled off, and we had a rare thunderstorm, with one big boom close to the neighborhood.

Mrs. Salmo and I were staying in a cabin near Stehekin this past week. Wednesday during dinner a gust of high wind rolled through with some rain, bringing some thunder and lightning - and a power and water outage at our cabin. Unplanned adventure, you might say. Glad I wasn't hiking on a mountain top.
