Anyone remember the weather five years ago today? I turned my car on and it said it was 118°. That wasn’t accurate, but close. Turned my AC on blast and my windshield cracked.
Today’s weather is much more acceptable.

This year has been a weird year. Water levels have been all over the place on the lake I live on.
Normally by now the seasonal outlet of the lake has stopped flowing. I could Normally walk about 500 feet on a dry stream bed towards the lake from our gravel road. This year there is 3" of water where it flows under the gravel road.
There is a wetland that I can mow for the neighbors for a path to get to lake. I tried today to mow the path with my lawn tractor. Dad decision! I got stuck. My neighbor has a 4 wheel garden tractor and was able to winch me our.
I read all these posts where water levels are low. Not here. The neighbors are going to walk thru 5 inches of water and 3 feet of grass for the 4th. Bummer!

Here in the Poconos, we topped out at a cool 92, with heat index topping out at 106. Wake-up time at 4:00, twas 77 - today expected to be worse, projected to hit 100. Thankfully, the laker is still cool, high 60's, so my swim feels reeeeeaaal good.
