Rain

It was hot today, overperformed expectations.

Here in the Poconos, after a dry start to the month, we have had over 2.5 inches in the last hour or so, some bigly T-storms!!

Cheers
There's a system starting up just east of Puerto Rico that looks like it might sweep up the coast and drench us pretty heavily .

Edit 15 Aug: @Canuck from Kansas, @VAGABOND, this might give us more rain in the coming days

Nice to hear the rain last night.
0.33” in my area. Hopefully more today.

We had a pretty good rain event here near Lincoln City - 2.20" in the Coastal Mountains (Salmon River watershed) and 1.34" here at the house. Most of the local rivers have gone from at or near record low flows to record high flows for the date.

We got nice and wet starting at around 5:00 yesterday. Looks like we’ve gotten around 0.50 total so far. Not as much as expected but I’ll take it. My plants and front hay (lawn) appreciate it. 😉

@Peyton00, speaking IN hyperbole: In Ephrata, we had, on average, 29 drops of rain per city lot yesterday. You could count a few dimples in the dust on my dirty car and truck. On one of my nightly trips to the loo last night I could smell rain - hey, more than 29 drops per lot. The sidewalk is almost wet.

Lets get another one of these rain events (Flash flooding warning in Forks? Perhaps all the meteorologists forecasting this dangerous pineapple express graduated from the University of Forks more commonly known as Forks U).

I wonder if there was enough rain in the Olympics to slow down Bear Gulch?
