Rain

You could have just stopped at 'I want heavy rain'...it's your favorite forecast.
:)

It was sure nice yesterday to get a good, steady rain and be able to use the windshield wipers. Too bad fishing wasn’t better.

A few sprinkles today - barely got the ground wet.

Tonight is a different story. Huge flashes of sheet lightning with thunder. The whole sky lit up. South of me towards Mt. Rainier. Impressive too...

Same here while out with the dog before bedtime. A flash went as far as I can see in the forest from west to east, then south. 5 seconds later (1 mile away) the thunder rolled across the sky for around 10 seconds. Another one a few minutes later. My HF and VHF-UHF antennas are still disconnected because of lightning this morning.

Heavy rain ruined my day yesterday. I hit the road at 6am to go chase the elusive and very stupid musky at Mayfield. The plan was fish for a couple hours and then pick up my mom at the dock and take her trout fishing for a few hours. Get dinner and then pound the water for musky again.
All that happened, but she texted me at 6:30 "Hey, it's a crazy storm out there. Thunder & lightning and just pouring!" Great....
Needless to say, the stable conditions that had some guys catching 5 musky a day during the week were gone. A bunch of new junk in the water and a windy morning meant no musky for me. And only 3 trout.
The evening musky session seemed a bit closer to normal, but still off. I should've taken Friday off!

Glad we are getting some for the rivers though. We need more. And I know @Stonedfish is happy. So there's that. 😁

Things look very promising in my world with a high temp of 68° forecast for Tuesday.
I’m really glad the nasty air got blown out of here by this weather.
Excellent fishing weather on its way!

I think the forecast models and forecasters underestimated precip totals from the front that is currently moving through Oregon. We have received 2.20" since about 10:30 pm last night at our place outside of Lincoln City. It's tapering off now but it's a good dosing for the very dry Oregon Coast.

I was hoping for some substantial rain to get some fish moving. Last evenings radar looked promising, with more rain predicted south of me. It petered out and I got barely anything. I hope the mountains got some.
It looks like it will dry up again for the most part until next Sunday, based on the extended forecast.

Spoke too soon. A nice front has come through and it’s been raining nicely for the last hour or so. 👍
Hopefully the afternoon convergence zone sets up with the wind change and it continues.

Rain, Notre Dame lost...Cowboys behind...

Not much out here, but hopefully more up on the hills where there's 2 fires.

Got a 2nd shot of rain last night.
53° this morning with highs in the 60’s today.
