Rain

The ten day forecast looks promising.

Spider season is well underway. I ate at least five cobwebs with my face while out watering veggies this morning.
We should get our first flight of termites in the next 7-10 days. College football starts in 23 days and the best season, fall is on its way and thankfully summer will be in the rearview mirror.

Were getting thunderstorms down here in Sunnyside with sprinkles, Drove out of Yakima this morning at 5am it was 61 ounce I hit Union Gap it went up to 77
I heard thunder rumbling somewhere in the distance yesterday evening while grilling (98°F in the shade) - it was 79°F when I got up at 5:00 this morning. Brian @Stonedfish - I too am ready to look at summer in my rear view mirror.

We're under a flood watch here in the Poconos (1 inch of rain yesterday in about 1/2 hour) - radar indicates we should get blasted between 3 and 4 this afternoon. All our mitigation efforts (Grading, rain gardens, swale, etc) are working great so far, perimeter of the house stays high and dry.

Bring it on!!

I for one HATE rain, grew up on the wet side of the mountains that is one of the main reasons I moved to the eastside of the mountains Ill take it either 90 or 3 feet of snow on the ground no in-between

I had intermittent showers on my trip from Richland to Yakima to visit my mom today. Even had to use the windshield wipers. My wife cancelled her water skiing session today due to thunder and lightning. It was a nice change.

If y'all have extra rain, send it on my way. Had a depressing scout around our lakes in Lincoln on Saturday; our reservoirs are drying up. I was walking the bottom of the dam on one; if we don't get some serious precipitation before it freezes they're gonna have a heck of a fish kill.

Hopefully some of this makes it your way.

Looks like we could get up to a quarter inch through the 9th. Not a lot, but better than nothing and it will be a nice to freshen things up.

I was awakened by the sound of rain at 0400. 0.06" in my gauge overnight. It's just 4 hundredths off from the govt monitored gauge 5 mi from here.

Top of the hot tub was damp this morning. But only damp. It's been a non event here in the rain shadow of the Olympics in PORT ANGELES.
