I was at that beach a bit before you. No fishing, just looking. All I saw were loons and buffleheads - and a lot of debris. Water was a bit cloudy for this guy.
Next trip, I’ll be fishing.

So true…but a tug or two sure woulda been nice! It’s getting out and enjoying being out that matters most.
There was actually a guy fly fishing it. He was making short little casts into pockets between flotsam patches. Like 20’ casts. Hey there might be schools of happy cutts under there, who knows.I saw a similar hatch of logs yesterday, fortunately the tide kept it off the beach….
It’s been so warm, there might be some mahi mahi! There was actually a guy fly fishing it. He was making short little casts into pockets between flotsam patches. Like 20’ casts. Hey there might be schools of happy cutts under there, who knows.

@Matt B - you must not be too familiar with tumbleweeds; they're thistle like with sharp stickers so jumping into that pile might not be much fun after the fact! ;-)I’m not laughing at someone’s misfortune but it seems like mostly a humorous inconvenience.
If it’s the neighborhood jerk then it’s pretty funny.
I’d send my kids out the second story window to jump in the brush pile. Start toting it out to the street and have a nice warm fire.
Oh, I’d give ‘em long pants. It’s not like I’m cruel.@Matt B - you must not be too familiar with tumbleweeds; they're thistle like with sharp stickers so jumping into that pile might not be much fun after the fact! ;-)

See what I mean? No pants.
Severe sea lice damage looks like that.I wonder what was going on with this one’s head? It looks like a fungus.
I caught the coho in my profile picture doing just that actuallyThere was actually a guy fly fishing it. He was making short little casts into pockets between flotsam patches. Like 20’ casts. Hey there might be schools of happy cutts under there, who knows.
That's a LOT of tumbleweeds
And burning them isn’t allowed these days. I’m far enough in town that I don’t get them at my house. Fight them on the river after a big wind, though.@Matt B - you must not be too familiar with tumbleweeds; they're thistle like with sharp stickers so jumping into that pile might not be much fun after the fact! ;-)
