No it’s not my boat it’s Rob with Connectoutfitters out of pacific city. It is very comfortable to fish out of, but this weekend not so much as the weather and swell were sporty. Definitely sore from getting bounced around in the boat, but definitely worth it.Nice
and I don’t see wooden boats all that often. Is it yours? It looks kinda cool.
Yes that’s a watch window and I will let you know when I head down again and I will reserve a spot for you. The squid fly the coho really liked and unfortunately the mackerel did also. We had some opportunities to cast and strip on a couple rips which was productive but once you hit your limit it’s time to reel up.That looks awesome Dennis! I've done that on gear but need to get out there with a fly rod someday. That squid fly is wild!
Is that a watch window on your jacket?
Was thinking of you the other day when I saw JoshM throw up another fundraiser and also seeing the D closure.
Also we fished a waker at the end of the prop wash and had quite a few fish landed with that fly. Including the mackerel which we thought we had run into tuna as we were in the backing quickly. Water temp on on Saturday was between 58 and 60 degrees. That looks awesome Dennis! I've done that on gear but need to get out there with a fly rod someday. That squid fly is wild!

I would go down to Pacific City as the the is more conducive for fly fishing. Not sure if they launch dories from the beach there. But it's not to far away, if you're heading that way send me a note and I can stear you in the right direction. That looks so fun and I’m a sucker for wooden boats too. I’ll need to look into that since we go down to Cannon Beach every year.
Nice fish, and nice boat!Had a fun weekend and lots of rockfish and coho landed. 40% were wild and the hatchery were really nice sized.View attachment 190005View attachment 190006View attachment 190004View attachment 190003
