And Netflix will be the exclusive home to two Christmas Day games in December, the streaming service’s first step into the NFL marketplace....so another service you'll need if you want to watch games.

I am not sure this is correct. As long as DirecTV is providing ABC, I believe it will not be available. Unless you have FUBO or other streaming service providing ABC, you may be outta luck...

Streaming was out of the question because it was only DSL that would drop its signal 30 to 40 times per hour - sometimes for a minute or longer. It was $25k to bring in cable from the street (about 700'). T-Mobile started to provide internet service but was poor at best. Same with Verizon. Both were only 4g at best. Finally AT&T started to provide 5g service about a year ago. The tower is 1000 feet away. It works fantastic! So streaming is an option now. I looked at all the different packages/providers to see if I could replace DirecTV and save some money. Nope. So I called DirecTV and asked for a discount since I was approaching 25 years with them. They reduced the package price $50/month! That covers what I pay AT&T for great internet.

Happy camper now!

No doubt on what all the streaming costs , I’m certainly not changing to streaming thinking I will save money . Won’t happen with what we have with satellite. Thanks for the info on calling Direct TV on that savings you got . We are the same , approaching 25 years also , it will be 25 years next April .

DTV guide shows MNF for tonight on ABC, but maybe it'll blit out the 'We're negotiating with blah, blah, blah' screen of death on ABC during the game like it does for ESPN....
 
enjoyed that game last night, well matched teams...with Donald no longer anchoring the Billygoats, however, the D-line looks like it will have a problem with the power running teams.
Over and under on Rodgers making it through the entire game tonight in one piece?

No kidding , as said I hate streaming , internet gets disrupted in the least , it’s buffering , poor picture or it’s just lost . We do have high speed called Utopia, but it’s a small fortune to get it . The fiber optics have been run , but no desire yet . We do some streaming when in Montana for Netflix or whatever , the RV park where we are at has improved their WiFi a lot , it used to be almost impossible to stream a movie , it’s still sketchy in the evening , just depends on how many are on it , fortunately it’s a very small RV park .

Can't imagine Rodgers is excited to see Leonard Floyd in the opener again...
 
Well call me surprised. With DirecTV it is on ABC.

Stealing...as two multibillion companies deprive you as they fight over how they are going to gouge you for what you want.

So I pay as little as I can, and look to want less and less, as frankly if push came to shove, I'd just stop watching...football is about all I have use for on TV, and if it wasn't for my gf, we wouldn't have one.
I personally have not owned a TV for over 20 years...but she does, so we watch football.
I'm a lousy consumer, I don't buy much...no consumer based economy could survive with me as a base consumer.
But I steal even less.
 
speaking of stealing, anyone wanna talk about Deshaun Watson? I heard that guy literally stole 230 million from the Browns, which in fairness, is a completely Browns type of thing to happen.

now more allegations!
 
Guy is a loser...Browns screwed up that deal from the get go.
My guess is Watson is out of the league in 2 years, right about the time the Browns make another boneheaded QB deal.
 
Mr Irrelevant and an undrafted FA RB dominate the "best D in football". 2 takeaways:

The D line held the edge on the runs. That was missing last year and cost them.

Puni doesn't look like a good rookie, he looks like a really good RT.
