NBA Playoffs

Warriors played better D and took care of the ball. Is it just me or did Boston look tired? Either way, hard to win when you lose the rebound and turnover game. Would have been fun to get a game 7, but oh well.
Curry finally got his Finals MVP. Much deserved. And how about Kerr?? His 9th championship! Legend

Make or miss league.

Four chips in eight years plus two other trips to the finals...that is really good. I still like 80s and 90s basketball better.

I think the Celtics were just starstruck by going up against the experienced Warriors. They started the series off with a burst of adrenaline and high confidence. Then as it progressed it became obvious just how deep the Warriors were and how important experience is in the finals. Towards the end they were simply outclassed and it was obvious. Had it not been for a stupid technical foul by Draymond Green and Klay breaking his foot they could well be celebrating their 6th in 8 years. It was remarkable that they came back from worst in the league to champion in so short a time.

One of the best aspects of the finals was-no Kevin Durant, no Kyrie Irving and no James Harden. The Cry Baby Corps was done early and their attempts to bully their way to a championship were futile. Instead the team that had played together the longest displayed the real secret to winning-teamwork- not MEwork.

It was a lesson that Tatum never learned…when Curry was having a bad shooting night, he still was able to get to the basket and get his teammates open looks…and ball security was never in doubt. The Celtics were a turnover machine…

Every team in the league just needs to look at the Dubs to understand what team culture means - from top to bottom, one mission, one goal, show respect, get respect, and win. And they will be even more formidable next year as Curry is always in phenom shape, Thompson will finally be at 100%, Poole and Wiggins have emerged as true stars, Kuminga is coming along great, and 7' James Wiseman, recvering nicely from knee surgery, will give the Dubs a skilled big man at center...the dynasty will continue on

agreed, Dubs are going to be a problem for the rest of the league for another few years minimum.

I think the C's forgot that the Dubs play really tight defense with very few mistakes (just like their offense).

That was a fun series to watch (and not just because I had Dubs in 6). C's will be solid for a number of years as well.

C's need to learn to value the basketball. You can't score if you don't shoot. You can't shoot if you turn it over. They could use another playmaker too. They advanced a round further that last year. That is a success in the land of the NBA.

The Warriors are about Steph. He is the deal. Y'all can go on about their defense or Klay or anyone else but you are burying the lead.

The fact is Curry shoots so well and from so far; he commands so much attention that here is a ton of space on the floor for everyone else. It's a lot easier to play team basketball with all that space. It's always been about Curry. He is the best shooter that I have ever seen. The release is so fast. The C's played remarkable defense but in the end Curry is not guardable. He makes everyone better due to all the space he creates.

Curry is the most impactful player in the game.

I thought it was obvious that Steph drives the bus. A fact that doesn't need stating. You do realize that it takes solid team D to create those turnovers, right? I'm just glad I was able to watch these games through a pretty unbiased lense & was thoroughly entertained (which imo, is the point of sports)

C’s need a true point guard that has ball handling skills that can also shoot..Donovan Mitchell from the Jazz will be available…Is like to see him in a green uniform

C's turn it over against everyone. It's there thing. W's played excellent defense. They deserve credit but in my opinion much of their defensive prowess is due to Curry's offense.

Consider that teams almost refuse to try and get transition points against the W's because of him. If you lose control of the tempo at any point, he hits you with a barrage of 3's. He is so good offensively that he makes the opposing team worse offensively. The dude just changes the way you play at both ends of the court.

He is highly entertaining. After game 1 I thought the C's could deal with him. They could not. Without being able to get any transition buckets they became more easily guarded. He is a talent unlike I have seen.

That would help. I agree that they need more offensive playmaking at the guard position. Someone who can finish.

They got better. Ime can coach. The future is bright.

Steph transformed the league and the playground.. kids now line on up the courts and shoot 3's for hours...no longer just a big man's game... I'll go with Shaq, who calls Steph a top ten player in NBA history.
And don't think Steph get's enough credit for his improvement on defense...per Green, Steph took to weight lifting seriously two years ago, put on 20#, dumbell presses with 100# in each hand in the gym, push-up set's with 35# plate on back after practice...not a better conditioned athlete in the league.
And who is a better coach then Kerr?

It's noticeable how much thicker his body is.

Horford tried posting up on him …had a hard time moving him off the block…

thought the close on this ESPN piece sums it up well:

"The Warriors' power as a dynasty is greater than the sum of its hardware. They've influenced how NBA basketball has been played for a generation, even as they've distinguished themselves with a singular style no other team in basketball can match. Because as much as rivals can appropriate defensive schemes or construct rosters of like-sized players with multiple skills, there's one element that can't be replicated: Those teams don't have Stephen Curry.
