Getting pretty excited, that fall feeling is here at home. Got most of my chores done, still need to sow fall field grass ..




Really looking forward to the fall fishing!

My favorite time of year. Late season fishing and upland bird less than two weeks away. Magical. And I make a mean molasses cookie, also.

Felt the coming fall this morning. Cool crisp air coming off the Sound.

Was out fishing on the coast yesterday, and the wind became stiff and cold in the afternoon. Wished I had a light hoodie or something. It's coming, alright.

Delighted to finally see a bunch of rain in the extended forecast. That should get things cooking nicely... as long as it's not TOO much....

First two flocks of sand hill cranes flew over our house in Richland this afternoon. Sure sign of fall.

We saw (and heard) countless sand hill's heading south from Yakutat, AK - amazing to see (and hear) them against Mt. Elias.

Several flights of ducks landed on the lake yesterday. Have never seen that in last 20+ years here.

Well, things are cooling down quick 38 degrees this morning... Makes packing up a slower process.

Heading over to the Sun Lakes area for a week and half, fishing some of my favorites. Cookies in hand....
